Dane began his real estate career by making his
first real estate investment in 1974. Since that
time, Dane and his wife, Sherrie, have purchased
and sold hundreds of investment and residential
properties for clients and themselves.
In 2003, Dane formed First California Realty, Inc.
in Sausalito, CA in order to create a conduit for
his investment clients and their commercial investment
needs. The beautiful new offices turned out to be
an attraction to other agents and now Dane is managing
Broker to 8 other agents with plans for other office
expansion. He is also a Certified Estate Analyst who specializes in estate planning for retirement plans, including the analysis and suitability of converting funds invested in individual retirement accounts (IRA's) into tenant-in-common (TIC's) and other investment real estate.
Dane's first career was as an Insurance agent and
he sold life, disability, fire and casualty insurance
and held two different California insurance licenses.
The second was as a government bond specialist for
a NYSE member securities firm where his sales prowess
led him to be promoted to branch management. Dane
held 7 securities licenses, including general securities
principal, municipal securities principal, registered
options principal, NYSE sales supervisor and general
securities sales. As manager of Morgan Olmstead
Kennedy and Gardner, a NYSE member, Dane was responsible
for nearly 100 brokers, 10 traders, a real estate
syndication department, a public finance department
and overall operations for the largest branch office
in the company. Dane began assisting key clients
with tax planning while working in this capacity
and still prepares income tax returns for many clients-a
very useful background for real estate of all types.
Dane and Sherrie own numerous commercial investment
properties ranging from apartment houses to office
buildings to industrial warehouses to shopping centers
and have vast experience in the technical process
of buying, selling and managing them. Dane has represented
investor clients in purchasing the same types of
properties and several clients have written testimonial
letters praising the high level of involvement Dane
was able to provide during the transaction due to
his diverse professional background and experience.
As a founder of First California Realty, Inc., Dane
and his wife/partner Sherrie are growing a unique
specialty boutique real estate firm that offers
an extremely sophisticated and personal approach
to your real estate investment needs.

Dane holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from San Diego State University and attended Golden Gate University Law School as well as the Graduate School of Business. Dane is currently enrolled in William Howard Taft University, Witkin School of Law, where he is finishing up his studies for the Juris Doctor degree.
He is a past Commodore of the Loch Lomond Yacht
Club, he and Sherrie are currently members of the
Sausalito Yacht Club and with their famous dog,
Jake, they live and work in Sausalito, CA.
